Khloe Lamar’s Rebound Girl

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

\

Khloe could be the rebound chick. Reports are swirling that weeks before Lakers forward Lamar Odom popped the question to Kardashian; he had his sights set on another celebrity. Fox Sports radio hosts Petros and Money had this to say about their friend of many years. “You want to know how in love Lamar is? Word is Lamar was madly in love with another young lady no less than one week before he met Khloe and asked that young lady to marry him and she said, ‘whoa, slow down.’
“This was another celebrity that sees herself grace the pages of TMZ. So you wonder …maybe Lamar had alternate plans and alternate intentions of making himself more of a celebrity than just a dude that plays basketball for the Lakers…”
YBF is reporting that the mystery lady is none other than Ms. Tariji P. Henson.

Reggie And Kim Back Together?

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

It seems that The New Orleans Saint running back Reggie Bush and the anything but a saint Kim Kardashian were inspired by sister Khloe’s recent nuptials as the on again off again couple are in possibly on again. According to the E! Insider Kim got all mushy from seeing her sister marry Lamar Odom and went to visit Bush. No word on whether this is in fact true but if it is, CM is sure Kim will let the world know via twitter.

New Barbie Too Hip Hop

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

This week Mattel will release the “So in Style” black Barbie doll to the market but so far the tests conducted by the Daily News have resulted in a mixed bag of opinions. The fuller lips, wider noses and decidedly more black facial features aren’t what people have been complaining about; it’s the gear that’s in question. “Not all black people like hip hop,” said Barbara Mootoo, 15, of Manhattan, looking at Kara’s silver rope chain necklace. “They gave her a chain like a 50 Cent video.” CM wonders what Nicki “Black Barbie” Minaj thinks of all this hoopla over skimpy clothing and gaudy jewelry.

Check out a video from the designer:

Common Shows Cali Some Love

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

Young Jeezy and Jay-Z have reputations around the game for always bringing out surprise guests to the stage during their shows. If Common keeps up what he did over the weekend in L.A., his name will have to join this short list really soon.

Aptly titled “Common and Friends,” the Chicago-based rapper’s benefit show brought out some expected guests (Mos Def, Talib Kweli), some not-so-expected ones (Ludacris) and one guy most thought they wouldn’t expect to see for a looong while (Kanye West).

Here are a few flicks from the memorable night…

Keeping Up With Khloe

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

We already reported about Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom getting married Sunday. But what you may not know is that the E! Network paid for the entire wedding and reception! Also, word has it that Mama Kardashian already has sold the pictures to an unnamed tabloid. Yikes!

Can you say publicity stunt?!

Who gets married after a month of dating someone?

I really think Khloe’s starving for attention, and what better way to take it away from your pregnant sister, than to stage a quickie wedding?

Fabolous And Bow Wow Go At It

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

Isn’t this cute? We have yet another Twit Fit between two rappers. Awwwww.

For the past 48 hours or so, Bow Wow has been scrapping with Fabolous on the site for. We can’t really call what instigated the virtual ruckus, but we do know that F-A-B-O ain’t lettin’ it rest, as he’s taken his battle to a full-fledge assault on Twitter with fans and anyone else being able to add their own e-jabs to B. Weezy. (Our personal fave is the one where somebody referred to Bow Wow as the Webster of rap.)

So, let’s get this straight. Last week, Loso was hatin’ on Lil’ Mama for her bonehead interruption of Jay’s performance. Now he’s jabbin’ at Bow Wow. Umm, detect a trend here. Fab, we’re gonna need you to pick on rappers your own height…

Lamar Odom And Khloe Closing The Deal

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

Talk about your shotgun wedding. The quickness in which Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are moving is way faster than a speeding bullet. After dating for just about a month, reports all over the place are saying the couple du jour are making it official with nuptials over the weekend in Cali.

“Khloe and Lamar want to get married before Lamar has to go away for training, and the [basketball] season starts up [this fall],” a source tells Us Weekly of the couple’s plans. “They are hoping to pull together a wedding … so they can get married and have time for a honeymoon.”

People magazine is reporting that things are coming together so fast that guests are being called with the news rather than receiving invites in the mail.

Oh, and TMZ is saying this is all Odom’s idea…

Don’t get us wrong. We wish Lamar and Khloe all the best. But this ish sounds like an L.A. mess that has nothing to do with the Clippers.

You think they got a chance?

Kia Shine Wants Some More Shine

Posted by: Cartel  /  Category: Entertainment

You remember the Memphis rapper Kia Shine? Homie had a decent-moving single a few years ago called “Wow.” His album flopped. But good thing for dude he’s pretty sweet with the beats and hooks too, so much so that Lil Wayne reportedly got at him about a song.

Said track got to Drake and, if you let Kia Shine tell it, became the inspiration for Drizzy’s “Best I Ever Had.” Wow, right? Shine even swears he’s got checks to prove he’s the man behind it. Drake responded to the accusations basically saying Whatever. Today, Kia reached out to Angela Yee to further prove his case.
